Cemeteries and Portchester Crematorium

Crofton Cemetery, Stubbington, PO14 2EB

Crofton Cemetery is in Oakcroft Lane, Stubbington. You can reach it by car via Oakcroft Lane, off Mays Lane or via Lychgate Green and off  Marks Tey Road on foot. The cemetery has been consecrated by the Church of England but interment of people of different faiths is permitted. Children's graves are available and there is a garden of remembrance.

Fareham Cemetery, Fareham, PO16 7HX (also known as Wickham Road Cemetery)

Fareham Cemetery is in Wickham Road, Fareham. You can reach it by car or on foot through the main gates. It has two chapels linked by a gatehouse spanning, built in the centre of the main drive in 1889. Only one side of the building is now used as a chapel.

This chapel can be hired from the Council for a memorial service and accommodates around 40 people. Hirers can bring an electric organ. There is no heating in the Chapel and in the winter months you need to take this into consideration before hiring this facility.


The cemetery is open daily:

Children's graves are available and there is a garden of remembrance.
The cemetery has public toilets.

Posbrook Lane Cemetery, Titchfield, PO14 4HZ (also known as Claypits Cemetery)

You can get to the cemetery by car and on foot via the entrance in Posbrook Lane, Titchfield. It is divided into sections for interment of people of different faiths, including:

Children's graves are available and there is a garden of remembrance.

St Peters Cemetery, Titchfield, PO14 4AG (also known as Titchfield Churchyard)

This cemetery is within the vicinity of St Peter's Church. You can reach it on foot:

A garden of remembrance runs along the boundary of the churchyard next to Titchfield canal.

Roman Grove Cemetery, Portchester, PO16 9LQ

Roman Grove Cemetery is in Castle View Road, Portchester. You can reach it by car or on foot via Castle View Road. There is additional pedestrian access via Wicor Path, off Castle Street.

The Cemetery is divided into sections for interment of people of different faiths, including:

Children's graves are available and there is a garden of remembrance.

St Johns Cemetery, Locks Heath, SO31 6NE

St Johns Cemetery is situated in St Johns Road.

Pedestrian access is gained by entering the small gate located on St John's Road. The entrance is opposite Locks Heath House Park. A few steps lead down to the Cemetery gate.

The Church of England has consecrated this Cemetery.

There are no new graves available in this cemetery however; interments can still take place if the graves have been pre-purchased.

 

St Pauls Cemetery, Sarisbury, SO31 7BG

St Paul's Cemetery is situated to the South of St Paul's churchyard on the corner of Bridge Street, A27 and Barnes Lane.

Pedestrian access can be gained by going through St Pauls Churchyard. A few steps link the Churchyard and the Cemetery.

The Church of England has consecrated this Cemetery.

There are no new graves available in this cemetery however; interments can still take place if the graves have been pre-purchased.

 

Holly Hill Cemetery, Sarisbury, SO31 7BH

Holly Hill Cemetery is situated adjacent to Holly Hill Woodland Park, Barnes Lane, Sarisbury.

Both pedestrian and vehicular access is gained via Barnes Lane. A large car park and toilet facilities are available at the entrance.

The Cemetery is divided into sections for the interments of people of different beliefs, including:

There is a garden of Remembrance for Cremated Remains.

There are no new graves available in this cemetery however; interments can still take place if the graves have been pre-purchased.

 

Portchester Crematorium, PO16 8NE

The Portchester Crematorium was opened in 1958 and is situated on the lower slopes of Portsdown Hill between Fareham and Portsmouth. The crematorium is controlled by a Joint Committee of Councillors representing the city of Portsmouth, and the Boroughs of Fareham, Havant and Gosport but operates as an independent establishment with specialised administrative and technical support from the constituent local authorities.
