Key Development Sites in Fareham

The Fareham area has been a key development resource for business growth in South Hampshire since the 1970s.  The growth sectors at West Fareham (Segensworth) and Whiteley (Solent Business Park) made provision, and continue to provide, a steady flow of development opportunities close to junction of the M27 Motorway.

The South East Plan has adopted a strategy for growth in South Hampshire for the period to 2026 that relies on a combination of steadily increasing productivity and the release of new development sites in South Hampshire.  It is planned to provide for almost 2 million sq metres of business development across South Hampshire, of which about 37,000 sq metres will comprise existing commitments in the Fareham area and 121,000 sq metres are proposed as part of a strategic development area north of Fareham.
