21st Century Network – What it means for business

John Peacock (BT) gave the keynote presentation and focussed his talk around a BT downloadable presentation (this is an external hyperlink).  John heads up a 21CN Workgroup at BT’s R&D centre at Adastral Park, Ipswich.

21CN is about using the power of the digital networked economy - the convergence of the telecoms, IT, media and entertainment industries - to create better ways and wider opportunities for Small & Medium Entreprises (SMEs) to access their markets and to access content. 

The 21CN world will make SMEs more effective, more secure and more profitable.  Enhanced broadband power will make information sharing and services easier and faster, improving customer satisfaction.

John finished with a fascinating short video from Prof Mike Wesch, from Kansas State University, who examines the impacts of digital technology on human interaction.
