Road Safety

Fareham supports the County Council's policy for the reduction of road casualties and is committed to reducing personal injuries within the Borough.

Hampshire County Council is responsible for the promotion of road safety. Fareham Road Safety Council is administered by Hampshire County Council.

Safety Cameras

The provision of speed enforcement cameras on roads in the County are provided through the Safety Camera Partnership for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight which is a collaboration between Hampshire Constabulary, the Highways Authorities of the Local Councils, the Magistrates Court Committee and the Highways Agency which operates from the Police Headquarters at Winchester. The aim of the Partnership is to reduce the number of speed related fatal and personal injury accidents that occur on the roads throughout the County.
