Making a deputation to meetings
The details given below are a brief summary of the scheme for
making deputations to various Council meetings, other than
meetings of the Planning Development Control Committee, for which
a separate scheme exists.
- If you live or work in the Borough you may speak on a
matter which is due for discussion by the Executive, the
Scrutiny Board or its Review Panels or one of the Council's
Committees (other than the Planning Development Control
Committee for which a separate scheme exists).
- You may also speak at an ordinary meeting of the Council
on a matter which relates to the Council's powers and
functions.
- Your deputation may be presented by some other person
speaking on your behalf.
- Your application
to make a deputation (143 Kb)
must be made in writing and be
with the Head of Democratic Services at the Civic Offices,
Fareham by noon two working days before the meeting.
- The time available to hear all deputations at any one
meeting is 30 minutes. Each deputation will be allowed up
to 10 minutes, but if more than three deputations are to
be made, then the time available will be shared equally
between them.
