Race Equality Scheme

Under the Race Relations Act the Council has a legal duty to produce a Race Equality Scheme explaining what actions it is taking to:

• eliminate unlawful racial discrimination
• promote equality of opportunity; and
• promote good race relations between people of different racial groups
