The details of the Council's plan for e-government are contained in its Implementing Electronic Government Statements submitted to and approved by Government in November 2003. This technical strategy highlights the key issues to be addressed and the technical solutions needed for implementation over the next three years.
The strategy builds on the achievements of the last five years in particular and the developments undertaken in developing an e-organisation in the areas of staff, systems, data and networks. It relates these areas to the outward facing world of e-governance i.e. e-services, e-democracy, e-community and e-business, through a series of interfaces.
Finally, the appendices detail the technical requirements, new data storage and security arrangements, project management processes and a guide to the approximate costs of development to meet the 100% e-delivery target by the end of 2005.
