Strong and Inclusive Communities

To build strong and inclusive communities the Council will:

• Build stronger communities (159 Kb)   by providing community leadership to help bring together local partners to improve services and give local people and local communities more influence and power to improve their lives.  We will ensure that information provided by the Council is accurate, up-to-date and accessible and that residents have the opportunity to express their views regarding the level and quality of service provided by the Council.

• Build more inclusive communities (160 Kb)   by ensuring that we appreciate and understand the needs of different parts of the community and provide easy and affordable access to services that meet the needs of all sections of the community.

• Enable and support a community where everyone is able to play an active part in society (141 Kb)  .

• Help to build more inclusive communities by ensuring that claims for housing and council tax benefits (153 Kb)   are dealt with in a sympathetic, positive and efficient way and provide a service that meets the needs of all interested parties.
