Safe and Healthy Place to Live and Work

To ensure that the Borough of Fareham remains a safe and healthy place to live and work, the Council will:

• Work with key partners to reduce crime and disorder (177 Kb)   to provide an environment where people of all ages feel safe.

• Use its licensing and regulatory powers to protect the health and safety of people (201 Kb)    who live, work in or visit the Borough.

• Promote good health (152 Kb)    by encouraging and supporting Hampshire Primary Care Trust to improve access for residents to health care services and facilities; and by providing information and support that contribute towards the health and wellbeing of local people.

• Use its regulatory powers in a fair and consistent manner to ensure new and existing buildings (119 Kb)    are safe and comply with legal requirements.
