Balanced Housing Market

The Council's aim is to create a balanced housing market that provides good quality housing with a range of dwelling types to meet local needs.  To achieve this we will:

• Marshal the resources of all relevant agencies to support and enable an affordable housing market (145 Kb)    that provides local residents with access to good quality housing that is which is affordable within their means.

• Provide a sensitive and responsive service to prevent homelessness (118 Kb)    by providing good quality advice, assistance and support, and where appropriate, access to good quality temporary accommodation.

• Provide existing and future tenants of the Council with access to social housing (175 Kb)    that suits their needs and is affordable within their means and by supporting vulnerable people to access and maintain housing appropriate to the needs.
