Planning Development Control Committee

The Planning Development Control Committee meetings to consider planning applications, are usually held in the Collingwood Room at the Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham. These meetings, which are open to the press and public to attend, commence at 2:30pm, normally on the second Wednesday of the month. However you are advised to check the Committee Schedule for the date of these meetings and read the appropriate Committee Agendas to ensure that you do not have a wasted journey.

Items Considered By Committee

All applications that receive a representation within the publicity period contrary to an officer's recommendation are placed on the main agenda for the Planning Development Control Committee.

 

The following types of applications will also be reported to the Committee;

  • Where the Head of Development Control considers that the application should be referred to the Committee for a decision;
  • Any applications submitted by or on behalf of members of the Council, and their spouses or partners;
  • Any applications submitted by or on behalf of employees of the Council, and their spouses or partners;
  • Any applications not in accordance with the local development plan where permission is to be recommended;
  • Any applications called in by a Councillor
