Please be aware that the records are only as up to date and as accurate as the information we have entered onto the data base. There will always be a delay between receiving an application and it appearing on this web site. Care must be taken when searching for information as the system will only match your search criteria and the information may be held under a different description. In some cases it may be necessary to visit the office to ensure that you have the full site history. Please also be aware that details are only held on applications back to 1991, if you wish to view information before this date, please visit the Department of Planning Development Control.
Planning application information submitted to the Council is protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). Fareham Borough Council encourages public participation in planning and your views and comments on planning applications are welcomed. You can comment, support or raise objection to an application for planning permission on-line via 'On-Line Planning'. Why not:-
If you prefer to make your representations in writing, please quote the application number and clearly explain your objections, comments or support. We need your name and postal address, or we treat your comments as anonymous and they will not be taken into account.
The Council has a duty to make all written comments received available for public inspection. Please be aware that all comments can be inspected at the Civic Offices. Comments should only deal with the application and not other personal matters.
If you link to Online Planning (links located below) you have acknowledged that you have read, understood and agree to the copyright and other limitations.
Comments must reach the Council within the three weeks' statutory publicity period. Do note the date by which to comment on an application; if your comments are to be taken into account, we need to receive them that day. Beyond this period, if you want to put your point of view, you should speak to a local Councillor or contact the Council to see if the application is to be considered at Planning Development Control Committee; if so, you can attend and may be able to address the Committee if we have sufficient notice.
You will find on our web-site a link to the planning portal, where the current local plan, including the proposals map, will allow you to identify many of the constraints that apply to sites within the Borough. If you need to know about other constraints, such as the presence of Tree Preservation Orders, Listed Buildings, etc., then please contact the Department of Planning and Transportation.
The on-line planning history contained within the site is not complete and should not be relied upon in connection with a property transaction. The Council will not accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from Online Planning. Similarly the information contained within Online Planning does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
New planning application information can be viewed within a week or so of our receiving an application. Alternatively, you will be able to view the plans and all the other documents at Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, during normal office hours.
