In 2009 Fareham Borough Council undertook a review of the on-street parking arrangements for residents who live in the town centre area. This followed on from concerns expressed by residents about the problems with all-day parking.
The review consisted of several studies including two periods of public consultation held over June/July 2009 and October/November 2009.
Analysis of data and correspondence has been completed. All suggestions received were carefully considered and changes were made in pursuit of achieving priority for residential parking.
We are pleased to report that the Council's Executive approved the new on-street parking proposals, and now some significant improvements can be anticipated during the summer.
From July 2010 some residential areas will require a permit to park (41.5 Kb)
