Granting/Renewing Your Driver's Licence
Once you have completed steps 1-7 on previous page we will be in a position to issue your licence.
However, in the event that the Criminal Records Bureau (this is an external hyperlink) disclosure has revealed convictions, it will be necessary for you to attend the Licensing Panel for your licence to be determined.
If the Licensing Panel refuses to grant/renew or suspends or revokes a Hackney/Private Hire drivers, vehicle or operators licence you have the right of appeal to the Magistrates Court.
Licences once issued are renewable annually and you will be sent the necessary reminder and forms to enable you to do this. If you fail to renew your licence on time, you will be required to make a new application.
