Public Registers

 

Fareham Borough Council has a legal duty to make available certain information to the public in Public Registers. In addition to this, other information may also be made available to the public as part of service initiatives. We currently have the following registers available:-

Caravan and Camp Sites Register

Register of Licensed sites. (Available on application)

Houses in Multiple Occupation Register

Landlords have a responsibility to ensure that any House in Multiple Occupation (HMO), for example, shared house or flat, bedsit etc., is in good repair, and that adequate amenities and means of escape in case of fire are provided.  In addition, the Housing Act 2004 introduced a mandatory scheme to licence larger, higher risk HMOs. (Currently no entries)

 

Register of IPPC Part A Permits

Control of emissions to air, land and water from Industrial Processes.  (Currently no entries)

 

Register of LA IPPC Part A2 Permits

Control of Emissions to air, land and water from Industrial Processes.

 

Register of LAPPC Part B Permits

Control of emissions to air from Industrial Processes.

Food Premises Register

Register of Commercial Food Premises. (Available on request)

Register of Licensed Premises

Under the Licensing Act 2003, anyone wishing to open a premises at which Alcohol is sold, Regulated Entertainment is to take place, or where food is to be sold after 11.00pm, is required to apply for a licence to permit these activities to take place.

Register of Temporary Events

Where a Licence for the above is needed for an event for a short period only, a Temporary Event Notice must be in place.

Personal Licences

A Personal Licence is granted to an individual and authorises the supply of alcohol in accordance with a Premises Licence.

Register of Licence Reviews

Where a premises licence has effect, an interested party or a responsible authority may apply to the licensing authority for a review of the licence, where they feel one or more of the licensing objectives are not being promoted. (Currently no entries)

Register of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers

All premises where cooling towers and evaporative condensers are situated must register with the local authority. (Available on request)

Register of Health & Safety Notices

Under the Environment & Safety Information Act 1988, Local Authorities are required to maintain a Public Register of all health & safety enforcement notices, which were served for issues relating to persons other than just employees. (Available on request)

 

Register of licences and management orders under the Housing Act 2004

Under the Housing Act 2004, every local housing authority must establish and maintain a register of all licences granted by them under Part 2 or 3, and all management orders made by them under Chapter 1 or 2 of Part 4, which are in force. Part 2 of the Act introduced a mandatory scheme to licence higher risk HMOs of three or more storeys, occupied by 5 or more tenants, with some sharing of facilities.  Management orders are designed to allow the local housing authority to manage a licensable HMO. (Currently no entries)

Register of Contaminated Land Sites

Provided in accordance with its duty under section 78R of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Whilst the register is a public document, it should be noted that it is not a list of contaminated or potentially contaminated sites within the Borough. The register merely documents enforcement action which has been taken by the authority, in relation to the remediation of contaminated land. (Currently no entries)
