Recent Developments

Here is a sample of affordable housing developments completed  in Fareham

Wessex Court

 

Wessex Court has been developed on the former Council owned Fareham Community Centre site in partnership with Portsmouth Housing Association. The scheme was completed in June 2008.

Wessex Court delivers 16 x 2 bed and 4 x 1 bed flats to rent to local households from the Council's housing waiting list.

 

125 Mays Lane, Stubbington

 

 

Completed in July 2007 this Testway Housing development delivers 2 x 3 bed and 3 x 2 bed houses for rent to local households from the Council's housing waiting list.

In addition 2 x 3 bed houses were provided for shared ownership sale with nominations made by the HomesinHants team.

 

Sunlight Gardens, Fareham

              

 

This Atlantic Homes Limited development at the former Sunlight Laundry site, Gudge Heath Lane includes 18 affordable homes.

To date this project has delivered 2 x 1 bed and 2 x 2 bed flats plus 5 x 3 bed and 2 x 4 bed houses for rent to local households from the Council's housing waiting list.

2 x 1 bed and 2 x 2 bed flats have also been provided for shared ownership sale with nominations made by the HomesinHants team.

The remaining 3 units for shared ownership sale are due for completion in December 2008.

 

Roman Grove

 

Six new affordable homes were completed in January 2007 on the site of the former play area in Roman Grove.

4 x 2 bedroom houses and 2 x 2 bedroom bungalows were developed by Portsmouth Housing Association for rent to local households from the Council's housing waiting list.

 

Eckless Court, Addison Road, Park Gate

 

This former Council owned site has been developed by Swaythling Housing Society and was completed in March 2008.

8 x 2 bed and 3 x 1 bed flats have been made available to rent to local households from the Council's housing waiting list.

 

Current Developments

 

163 West Street, Fareham

 

 

This scheme is currently being developed by Portsmouth Housing Association and is due to complete January 2009.

16 x 2 bedroom flats will be made available for rent to local people nominated from the Council's Waiting List. A further 6 x 2 bed flats will also be available for low cost home ownership. The low cost home ownership scheme is run by the HomesinHants team.

 

98 - 104 Portchester Road

 

The Home Group are developing 9 affordable properties at the above site that will be available to rent to local people nominated from the Council's Waiting List.

The scheme is due to be completed March 2009 and will deliver 1 x 1 bed and 8 x 2 bed flat.

 

Admirals Wood, Sarisbury Green (Coldeast Hospital Site)

The first phase of this Swaythling Housing Society development will be delivered in three stages and is due to deliver 37 affordable units from 2008 to 2011.

The first stage is due for completion in March 2009 and will deliver 2 x 1 bed flats, 4 x 2 bed flats, 5 x 3 bed house and 1 x 4 bed house that will be available to rent to local people nominated from the Council's Waiting List. 1 x 3 bed house will also be made available for shared ownership sale with nominations made by the HomesinHants team.

The final phase of the development is due to deliver a further 12 affordable units in June 2010.
