How do I apply for a street party?
To apply for a street party please fill in this simple application form online.
Alternatively please print off the PDF form and send to: Sue Woodbridge, Parks and Open Spaces Manager, Streetscene Division, Department of Community and Streetscene, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham. PO16 7AZ.
When is it?
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is on June 5, with an extended four-day holiday over the 2, 3, 4 and 5 June 2012, to mark 60 years of the Queen’s reign.
Are there any charges?
There are no hire charges for residents who wish to use their local area/open space for street parties.
Do I need a license?
If you are proposing to have alcohol on sale at the event you will be required to have a Temporary Event Notice, the application form can be obtained from the Licensing Section at the Civic Offices or is available here. The fee for this type of notice is £21.
Do I need insurance?
If the event affects local residents only, then insurance will not be required, although it is still strongly recommended to provide cover for any accidental damage or personal injury. This waiver only applies where the road is not a through-road and where the event is supported by at least 85% of residents. In all other cases insurance will still be required.
The deadline for applications
The deadline for applications for Diamond Jubilee street parties is 15 April, 2012. This deadline has been set to ensure we have enough time to close any necessary roads.
NB. If road closures, licensing or other permissions are required we will contact you to discuss any additional council requirements.
Otherwise a confirmation of your event will be sent to you.
