Bingo's story

One Friday evening in June this year, a labrador was reported tied up near some shops.  He was a lovely dog and in good health and hopes were high someone would come forward to claim him.  Sadly, after several days it was clear this was not going to happen.

The labrador had been taken to the Council kennels where staff had named him Bingo.

The Council have a legal duty to keep all strays for 7 days before attempting to rehome them.  During Bingo's time in the kennels the dog warden decided that if he was to be rehomed, it would be best for the dog to go to Labrador specialist.  The reasons for this were that nothing was known about Bingo's past, it would be impossible to assess how the events in his life may have affected him.  He may be unpredictable in his reaction to people, animal and domestic situations depending on what had happened in his past life.  Therefore he would need careful assessment and rehoming with the right family.

The dog warden contacted Labrador Lifeline, and explained about Bingo.  Luckily the Lifeline agreed to take him into their care for rehoming.

3 months later we are pleased to say we have just heard that Bingo is now happy, relaxed and secure with  his new family!

It’s always nice to report a happy ending…Good luck Bingo
