During the summer months (May to September) the Environment Agency carries out bacteriological testing of the sea water at the borough's beaches. The results are posted on our notice boards located in the car parks at Monks Hill, Salterns Road and Hill Head Sailing Club. The Environment Agency also test the water from the River Meon and the River Wallington as well as Fareham Creek and Hook Lake. The results can be found at: www.environment-agency.gov.uk/maps/info/river (this is an external hyperlink).
