The Council, in partnership with First Wessex, has already developed 42 new homes for social rent at Broadlaw Walk, Bishopsfield Road, Fareham.

The first block which completed in March 2011 consisted of 2 bedroom (3 person) flats, built over 3 floors and serviced by 2 lifts.
The ground floor of this block consists of retail units which include a convenience store, pharmacy and takeaway restaurants.

The flats in the first phase were allocated via the councils housing waiting list but were subject to a local lettings plan. This plan sought to help create a mix of couples, families and ages of children.
