"The Council" means Fareham
Borough Council.
"The Leisure Card" means Fareham Leisure Card.
"Adult" means persons aged 16 years and over.
"Child" means a young person aged between 0-15 years.
"Student" means a person in full time further education
Only residents living within the Borough, i.e. residents living at an address on the Fareham Borough Council tax register, may purchase the Leisure Card. A recent driving licence / utility bill is acceptable.
The person to whom it was issued may only use the Leisure Card,
it is not transferable and no more than one card will be issued
to any one person.
There are no age restrictions on the Leisure Card holder.
A family rate is available when purchasing Leisure Cards.
A family group can comprise up to two adults and their children (see definitions above). Each adult applying within a family must show proof of address.
Fareham Borough Council reserves the right to require the
provision of such proof as it shall deem necessary of a true
family relationship between the applicants.
Residents receiving Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance (income based) may receive a free Leisure Card for themselves and their dependants.
Residents who are in full time further education may receive a Leisure Card at a discounted rate.
Residents in full time further education must prove this at the
time of application to receive a discounted joining fee.
Producing your NUS card or a letter from your College/University
stating that you are currently attending a full time course will
be regarded as proof.
The individual member's Leisure Card must be produced to obtain the discount on every occasion, otherwise the full price must be paid. discounts and free vouchers, where relevant, will only be issued on production of the Leisure Card when booking a course and cannot be issued at a later date.
Leisure Card members may book casual facilities at the Leisure
Centre up to 7 days in advance and pay for those facilities at
any time up to the time of playing. The Individual's Leisure Card must be shown when payment is made.
If 24 hours or more notice is given no charge will be made for
the cancellations of bookings.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the time of play will be
charged the full rate for the booking.
Damaged or defaced cards shall not be used and card holders may
be requested to purchase a replacement card in this instance.
Stolen or lost cards can be replaced at a cost of a single
membership.
Replacement cards will be issued within 3 weeks of the Council
receiving notice.
Leisure Cards may not be used after their expiry date.
Leisure Cards must be renewed every 12 months. A reminder letter will be sent just before renewal is due.
Leisure Card holders should inform the Leisure Card Officer at Fareham Leisure Centre, Park Lane. Tel: 01329 824894, immediately of any change in their name, address or eligibility.
Fareham Borough Council reserves the right to amend or withdraw
all or part of the benefits offered at any time.
Loss or theft of the Leisure Card must be reported immediately.
Fareham Borough Council shall not be held liable for any injury,
loss of clothing, valuables or other property during use of the
Council's facilities unless a Council employee acted
negligently.
Leisure Card holders must indemnify the Council for any damage,
injury or loss caused by them or their dependants.
Fareham Borough Council accepts no responsibility for the loss or
damage to the original documents submitted for use in the
application process unless a Council employee acted negligently.
The Council may withdraw use of the card from any person who
either does not conform to these conditions, or who permits
fraudulent use of their card or abuses staff, facilities or
equipment.
The Leisure Card cannot be used in conjunction with any other
offers or discounts unless otherwise stated.
