Parks, Woodlands & Countryside

Events Programme

Welcome to our 2010 programme of events taking place in our Parks, Countryside and Woodland sites around the Borough of Fareham.

The programme is organised by the Leisure and Community division of Fareham Borough Council and encourages active participation in horticultural, conservation and other environmentally related activities to get people into the great outdoors.

Each year we work hard to find new and fun ideas to promote the rich and wonderfully varied sites that we have in the borough and this year, along with some of our ever popular days, there are some new and quite different events on offer.

We look forward to meeting you!

What’s on Offer?

We look forward to welcoming you at our events and hope you have a great time. Here are some pointers to help you get the most out of your day.

  • Booking is strongly advised due to the popularity and in some cases limited availability. All places are allocated at time of payment so please book early to avoid disappointment.
  • As with all events we can not predict the weather and on the odd occasion we may have no option but to cancel. This is a rare occurrence but should it be necessary then we will endeavour to contact participants.
  • We endeavour to make our events as accessible as possible but naturally some sites are easier to access than others. Please contact us beforehand should you have any particular needs and we will do our best to assist.
  • Please make note of the time of your chosen event and try to be there a few minutes early. If you have any problems with knowing where to go then just give us a call.
  • For your own comfort please wear clothes suitable to the event. We would suggest wearing sturdy shoes and possibly warm clothes and waterproofs dependent upon the season.
  • We welcome children at all out events unless otherwise stated, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

How to Book

  • Many of our events have limited places and you are strongly advised, due to their popularity, that you book in advance.

Payment must be sent with your booking and only cheques should be sent through the post. Please do not send cash. Cheques or cash will be accepted on the day where tickets are still available. Children under the age of three years are accepted free of charge.
