Walk Four: Warsash Common

The walk
From New Road, go through the kissing gate and follow the track until you see a large metal field gate across a path to the left. Go through the gate and follow the route past the Bike Track, continuing on a circuit around the meadow.
Almost opposite the bike track you will see a path off to the left, with a red arrow marker. Follow this path down some steps, across a boardwalk, and up the steps on the other side of the wet area. Carry on up, past the pipeline, until you reach the top path.
To your left you will see a kissing gate. Instead, turn to the right and continue along this track over a bridge across a stream until you reach a path to the left marked by a green arrow. (Short cut: Continue along the main track straight back to the entrance).
Take this path and follow it straight ahead, going over a series of boardwalks and past Dibles Pond. Continue until you see a gate, then follow the path back round in a loop to the left. Continue along this path to the end then turn right - this will lead you back to the main track. Turn left onto the track and follow this straight back to the entrance.
Travel directions
From M27 junction 9 follow signs for A27. You will quickly reach a large roundabout. Take the turning for A27 West, towards Park Gate. Go straight over two roundabouts. At the third roundabout, with a petrol station to the left, turn left into Brook Lane. Go straight ahead at the first roundabout and continue along Lockswood Road, going straight across the next small roundabout. Follow the road to the mini roundabout, where it meets with Warsash Road. Take a left at this roundabout and continue along this road until you see EMT to your right. Take the right hand turning directly after the EMT shop, down Fleet End Road. As Fleet End Road curves to the left you will see the Dibles Road turning, and coming out on the right at this same junction is New Road. Take the New Road turning and drive along this lane to the end.
