Abshot Community Centre - is located in Kelsey Close, Titchfield Common. Activities include Guides, Brownies, Scouts, Aerobics and Dancing.
Allotments - Fareham has 11 Allotment sites, managed by three Allotment Associations, which are all self regulating. Members of the Associations meet with Council Officers on a regular basis.
Art in the Park - The Fareham In Bloom community gardening competition was started in 1996 and is now well established and recognised within our community. In further developing the activities within our parks and encouraging participation from younger people, who have found that skills such as art and design can be actively encouraged within the natural environment of our outdoor classroom.
Beach Huts - The council manages two areas of beach huts in the Borough: at Cliff Road and Monks Hill, Hill Head. The Huts themselves are privately owned, but the land on which they are sited is owned by the Council and may be leased. Due to their popularity, all of the beach huts are occupied and no new applicants are being added to the waiting list.
Biodiversity - Is a shorthand term for biological diversity. It can be defined as 'the richness and variety of plants, birds, animals and insects that exist throughout the world'. A draft local biodiversity plan has been produced for the council. This is a link to the Environment & Conservation Department's draft action plan.
Burial Service - At Fareham Borough Council, we pride ourselves on managing our local Cemeteries in a caring manner. Just as important is our commitment to dealing with your arrangements in a professional and sympathetic manner.
Burridge Recreation Ground - is located in Botley Road, Burridge. This site contains a football pitch, a cricket pitch, bookable through the Leisure and Community Division and 2 tennis courts.
Cams Alders Recreation Ground - is located off Palmerston Drive (Nr. Fort Fareham Industrial Estate) and accommodates 2 Rugby pitches and three football pitches. Cams Alders is home to Fareham Town Football Club.
Cemeteries - There are 8 cemeteries in Fareham, spread across the Borough.
Children's Colouring Competition - There is an annual colouring competition for children of all ages to enjoy.
Community Centres - There are 15 community centres across the borough, supporting various activities such as sports, martial arts, dance and groups such as scouts and guides.
Comments/Complaints - An online form is available should you wish to report a problem or comment on any of the services we provide.
Composting - Many of us are already aware of the environmental implications of living in a "throw away" society and the rubbish we produce has now become a big issue. We are producing more waste than ever and the recycling of kitchen and garden waste would help to significantly reduce this amount.
Countryside Rangers - There are currently 3 Countryside Rangers, all of whom have practical countryside and conservation skills. Each Ranger is responsible for sites in a specific part of the Borough and is a local point of contact for people living in that area.
Crematorium - There is a crematorium in Portchester, opened in 1958 located between Portsmouth and Fareham.
Cricket pitches - There are a number of pitches, spread right across the Borough, bookable through the Leisure and Community division during the cricket season.
Crofton Community Centre - is located in Stubbington Lane, Stubbington. Activities include Tennis, bowling, pre-schools, arts & crafts and Sunday church.
Death and Bereavement - Some practical information about how to go about organising a funeral, dealing with inheritance issues and financial costs.
Dog Control/wardens - There is a dog control service, which is a part of The Department of Health and Regulatory Services which deals with a variety of issues including strays, dangerous dogs, dog fouling, dogs not on leads and noisy dogs.
Donations - The Council is happy to accept donations towards the adoption or donation of a seat to mark an important event, or to commemorate the life of a loved-one. There are 2 options: The adoption of an existing seat in order to add a plaque or the donation of a new seat with plaque. Events - There are numerous events that happen across the Borough each year. Further details including a list of activities dates and times are available.
Fareham North West Community Centre - is located in Henry Cort Drive, off Hillson Drive, Fareham. Activities include youth clubs, games clubs and bingo.
Fareham Allotment Association - is the Association which manages the following allotment sites in Fareham: - The Gillies; Salterns Lane; Stroud Green Lane and Wickham Road.
Fareham In Bloom - Our community gardening campaign encourages all sectors of the community to participate in enhancing our borough with bright and colourful planting schemes.
Football pitches - Fareham Borough Council is responsible for over 22 pitches in various locations spread right across the Borough. They are available for booking.
Foreshore - There is 17 miles of coastline within Fareham's Borough boundaries. There are also 2 slipways, which are available for public use.
Foxes - Some information has been compiled by The Department of Health & Regulatory Services to shed some light on the urban fox, it's habits and characteristics and hopefully to answer the most commonly asked questions.
Grounds Maintenance - The 'In House' Grounds Maintenance team carry out work many many tasks including grass cutting, shrub bedding, hedge cutting and landscape development and also look after the floral beds that are spread throughout the Borough.
Grass cutting - Grass cutting is carried out by the Grounds Maintenance Team on highway verges, recreation grounds and open spaces.
Hire of Public Open Space - It is possible to hire out an area of Open Space or a Recreation ground for events such as fayres, fetes, dog shows and carnivals etc. Some bookings require a fee is paid (usually a small administration fee), evidence of Third Party Public Liability Insurance cover of £5,000,000 and a booking form is required.
Holly Hill Woodland Park is an outstanding historic parkland located in Sarisbury and stretches down to the river Hamble with its 35 hectares of open space which is protected and conserved for its biodiversity ensuring its long term sustainability and provision and enjoyment for the local community.

Locks Heath Memorial Hall/Community Centre - is located in Locks Heath Park Road, Locks Heath. Activities include Tae-Kwon-Do, Yoga and tap-dancing.
Lockswood Community Centre - is located in Centre Way, Locks Heath. Activities include bowls, table tennis gymnastics and football.

Nature Conservation - The Borough is fortunate in possessing a diverse natural environment ranging from the internationally important coastal areas of the Solent, River Hamble and Portsmouth Harbour to local sites such as Whiteley Woodlands and The Gillies. Fareham Borough Council is committed to conserving the wildlife interest of the Borough through the preparation and implementation of planning policies.
Notice Boards - Fareham Borough Council manages 42 notice boards across the Borough for the benefit of the public.
Outdoor Recreation - The outdoor Recreation Service, based in Leisure offers pitches, courts and other facilities for hire at many sites throughout the Borough.
Portchester Allotment Association - is the Association which manages the following allotment sites in Portchester: - Red Barn and Roman Grove.
Portchester Community Centre - is located in Westlands Grove, Portchester. Activities include community church, art & crafts and sports such as netball and basketball.
Priory Park Community Hall - is located in Upper Brook Drive, Locks Heath. Activities include aerobics, dance, rainbows, brownies and scouts.
Public Conveniences/toilets - There are 25 sites in the Borough of which a number have disabled facilities

Ranvilles Community Centre - Located in Oldbury Way, Fareham.
Rugby - There are 2 Rugby pitches managed by Fareham Borough Council, both are situated on Cams Alders Recreation Ground, off Palmerston Drive.
Sarisbury Community Centre - is located in The Green, Sarisbury. Activities include aerobics, dancing and yoga.

Sponsorship of Roundabouts - With over 40 roundabouts and miles of grass verges and central reserves within the Borough from Portchester to Sarisbury, this presents organisations or individuals with limitless opportunities to sponsor landscaping with trees, art or floral displays. Alternatively a gateway to the Borough may be sponsored.
Titchfield Community Centre - is located in Mill Street, Titchfield. Activities include art classes, dancing, slimming and yoga.
Trees - The Public Spaces Section manages trees in parks, open spaces, woodlands, cemeteries and along greenways.

Woodland Burials - Natural or woodland burials are fast becoming a popular alternative to the more conventional burial within a cemetery or churchyard environment.
