Planting and Floral Tributes

Planting is not permitted in the non-lawn burial area.

Only cut flowers contained within suitable vases or plants contained in pots may be placed at the head of the grave.

Lawn-burial area

Floral decorations are welcome provided these are located within the memorial border with all cut flowers contained within suitable vases.

Limited planting may be undertaken by relatives, under the approval of the owner of Exclusive Right of Burial for the grave space.

We respectfully request that planting is undertaken within the memorial border and that all lawn areas are kept clear. The width of the memorial border should not be altered in any way.

Planting must be restricted to seasonal bedding plants and not perennial shrubs or trees and should be maintained by relatives visiting the grave.  The Council may undertake the planting of roses in the memorial border.

Garden of Remembrance

Planting is not permitted in the Garden of Remembrance. Floral tributes are permitted but may only be placed in a suitable container incorporated within the memorial tablet and set flush to ground level.

Wreaths

Wreaths may be put against memorials or in the memorial border next to the headstone. Wreaths will be removed one month after placement.
