Reserving and Purchasing a Grave Space

Application form to purchase the exclusive Right of Burial

A grave space may be reserved in advance of any burial taking place. The person who wishes to be registered as owner of Exclusive Right of Burial for a grave space is advised to obtain and read the Cemetery Regulations (225 Kb) before completing and signing the application form (69 Kb) .

This application form may also be used by a person who wishes to purchase the Exclusive Right of Burial for an unpurchased grave where an interment has already taken place. The application form together with the relevant payment (98 Kb) must be submitted to the Parks and Cemeteries Officer at Fareham Borough Council, PO Box 81, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7TP.

After the death of the owner of the exclusive right of burial, the personal representative should produce to the Authority the probate of the will, letter of administration, or other relevant information, so that the change in ownership can be registered.
