Love Food Hate Waste

Would you like to save £50 a month? That’s the amount of food the average family throws away that was bought but not eaten.

Fareham's Waste and Recycling Officers and the Army are urging everyone to "Love Food, Hate Waste". Troops from the 33 Field Hospital cooked Christmas themed dishes in Fareham in November to show how easy it is to use up leftovers.

The Army's recipes are available, as well as details of the winners of our Love Food Hate Waste quiz. The Army held a collection for Help for Heroes, which raised over £165.00.

The Council would like to thank 33 Field Hospital for their enthusiastic support for the event, and also local businesses who sponsored the event.  They are Antonio's Restaurant, Fareham, The Golden Lion, 28 High Street, Fareham, Somerfield in Fareham and Portchester, The Co-operative in Locks Heath and Cheeky Cows in Fareham.
