Hampshire Solar Challenge

 

Hampshire Solar Challenge - 8 July 2010


The Hampshire Solar Challenge is organised by seven local authorities, who invite schools in their areas to take part. Schools are challenged to make a model out of waste materials, with one moving part powered by a solar panel.

The seven local authorities involved are: Fareham Borough Council, Eastleigh Borough Council, Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, Gosport Borough Council, Portsmouth City Council, East Hampshire District Council and Isle of Wight Council. The Hampshire Solar Challenge will take place at the Intech Science Centre & Planetarium, and is sponsored by Southampton Audi. 

Schools in Fareham taking part are:

  • Oak Meadow Church Of England  Primary School
  • Orchard Lea Junior School
  • Ranvilles Junior School
  • Red Barn County Primary School
  • Titchfield County Primary School
