Street Scene Division

Street Scene Services is responsible for providing a domestic refuse and recycling collection service, garden waste collections and a trade waste refuse and recycling service.  It is responsible for ensuring that public streets and open spaces are maintained in a clean and tidy condition. The service maintains public highways, parks and open spaces, car parks, cemeteries, recycling banks, housing land and the foreshore. This involves sweeping, litter picking, emptying and disposal of litter bins and dog waste bins, removal of graffiti, and fly-tipping.  The service also carries out a domestic bulk waste collection service which is chargeable.
