The tokens can be used in Fareham licensed taxis or on the dial-a-ride service operated by Fareham Community Action.
If you are planning to use your tokens to travel by taxi, you are advised to check with the taxi firm at the time of booking, or with the taxi driver before commencing your journey, that your travel tokens will be accepted in full or part payment of the taxi fare.
You must be a resident within the Borough of Fareham aged 16 or over, and a qualifying disabled person.
Anyone aged 75 or older who was in receipt of tokens on or before 31 March 2006 can continue to receive tokens. However, if at the time of their next renewal a resident swaps their concession to a Fareham Bus Pass; they will not be able to switch back to tokens unless they meet the criteria of a qualifying disabled person.
There is no fee for the new tokens. The current full annual entitlement is £30.00. However, as we are moving towards an annual expiry date of 31 March, tokens will be issued for all renewals and applications on a reducing scale until 31 March 2010.
If you wish to apply for travel tokens, or your require further information please contact the Customer Service Centre on Tel: 01329 236100, or e-mail customerservices@fareham.gov.uk.
