Polling districts and polling places

Fareham Borough Council is required periodically to review the designation of polling districts and polling places used for elections across the Borough.  (A polling district is the sub-division of a ward or electoral area which groups roads together for voting purposes.  A polling place is the building or area in which a polling station is located.)

The last review was undertaken in December 2007 and followed a period of consultation with electors, political parties and organisations with an interest or expertise in the accessibility of disabled persons to polling places.  The final scheme, taking account of all views submitted, was approved by the Council on 13th December 2007.  The schedule of current polling arrangements (148 Kb) PDF logo is available for inspection on this web-site or at the Elections Office, Civic Offices, Fareham, PO16 7AZ.  Copies of all other documents associated with the review are also available for inspection at the Elections office.

The next review of polling districts and polling places is scheduled to take place in 2011.
