• Safeguarding current and future assets and resources
• Co-ordinating the use of financial resources
• Ensuring compliance with internal and external financial regulations
• Providing, analysing and interpreting financial information to ensure effective use of resources by members and officers
• Making a positive contribution to the councils long term objectives and priorities
