Planning for an Emergency

Introduction

It is the Council's responsibility to support the Emergency Services and the public if and when a major incident occurs in or around the Borough. Whilst doing this, we must keep the main council services running and co-ordinate what voluntary groups will do to assist in the response.

From May 2006 the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 placed a responsibility on Fareham Borough Council to give advice and assistance to businesses and voluntary organisations in relation to Business Continuity Management or BCM.
