Chris Brammall qualified in blacksmithing at Hereford College of Art and Design.
Chris has carried out many ironwork commissions throughout the UK as well as exhibiting in many galleries and group exhibitions.
For the Henry Cort Exhibition, Chris has designed and made "Still Moves". It shows how matter, things and ideas evolve and change through human creativity and ingenuity. The large piece of kirkstone grey green slate with veins of iron deposits forms the base, bursting from the ground, skyward. A series of iron tendrils emerge from this rock, initially twisting upwards. They evolve into a series of regular shapes transformed by man into the links of a chain. The stone is inscribed with "Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed" (Antoine Laurent Lavoisier).
Chris was also commissioned to design and fabricate the well feature located in Millennium Square.
