On Sunday 8 November the Borough's annual Remembrance Sunday service will be taking place at Trinity Church in Fareham.
Prior to the service this year, Fareham Borough Council has organised a special reading of the names of those who gave their lives in the service of their country. This "Forever Remembered" event will take place from 10am at the memorial at the front of the church in West Street, Fareham, and is believed to be the first of its kind in the country.
During this event, the names of all those associated with the Borough of Fareham who gave their lives serving in the British Armed Forces will be read out.
Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward, said: "It is a privilege for us to honour members of the armed forces who paid the ultimate sacrifice while fighting for our country and to read their names out is an appropriate way to pay tribute to them."
