The fourth round of Community Action Team meetings (CATs) will be taking place across the borough in June, giving residents another chance to discuss concerns they have regarding their local communities; suggest ideas for improvements; and the chance to bid for funds for local projects.
The main topic of discussion at each meeting will be Fareham’s Youth Council and the voice of young people.
Local young people will give a short film presentation highlighting what they feel is good in their local area and what they think needs improving.
June CATs meetings all start at 7pm until 8.30pm, at the following locations:
Monday 2nd June – Crofton
Stubbington Scout Hall, Stubbington Lane, Stubbington
Wednesday 4th June – Portchester
Portchester Community School, White Hart Lane, Portchester
Monday 9th June – Western Wards
St Johns Church, Church Road, Locks Heath
Tuesday 10th June – Titchfield
Titchfield Community Centre, Mill Street, Titchfield
Monday 23rd June – Fareham
Henry Cort Community School, Hillson Drive, Fareham
As well as elected members, officers from Fareham Borough Council, representatives from Hampshire Police, the County Council, the Primary Care Trust, and the Local Strategic Partnership will be attending. The meetings will, once again offer residents the chance to meet the people providing their local services.
Director of Customer Services Martyn George said: “After such a positive response from residents at our last round of meetings, I hope we can continue to build on their success, and we look forward to hearing the views of young people at this next round of meetings.”
