As part of the programme of parks, woodlands and countryside events, new for 2008 is a two-part moth and bat evening workshop. Part one takes place on Saturday 7 June on Warsash Common, off Fleet End Road. Starting at 8pm, Della De Ville, the lady of the night, will lead you through the fascinating world of moths as part of National Moth Night.
This is just one of the many events taking place in Fareham throughout the year to encourage active participation in horticultural, conservation and other environmentally related activities to get people into the great outdoors. Executive Member for Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: “This event sounds fascinating and will give participants the opportunity of being part of the national recording scheme with the use of special equipment and techniques.”
