Works resume on Osborn Road MSCP

Motorists and shoppers are being advised that essential repairs to Osborn Road Multi-Storey Car Park will resume on Monday 16 June.

The car park will remain open whilst the works are carried out, but there will be fewer parking spaces available. The essential work will take place between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday and will include repairs to the concrete. The contractors will be using electrical cutting equipment, which as a noisy process, will be kept within allowable limits. It is estimated that the works will take approximately six weeks to complete.

The contractors will be working on floors Ground, 1 and 2.

The final phase of these essential works will take place on the ground floor of the Osborn Road Multi-Storey Car Park, where Shopmobility are located. During the works Shopmobility will be temporarily operating out of Fareham Library. During the period of closure of the ground floor, disabled parking bays will be available on floor 1

Executive Member for Planning & Transportation, Councillor David Swanbrow, said: “We apologise for the disruption these essential works may cause to car park customers and residents living close by. These works are important to preserve the ‘life’ of the multi-storey car park and we thank everyone for their patience.”
