Fareham Borough Council is today holding a ‘Violence at Work’ initiative for licensees in the borough.
As a joint venture between Fareham Borough Council and Hampshire Police, the aim of the event is to raise awareness of the risks faced by staff in licensed premises and to assist those responsible for premises to meet their legal duty in respect of risk assessment.
Over 70 invited guests are expected to attend the free training at Ferneham Hall this afternoon, which will cover all aspects of risk assessment, including:
Health & Safety at Work, the Law
Challenge 21 / Test purchase Operations
Crime Prevention
Licence Reviews
Drugs Awareness and
Practical Risk Assessment
Councillor Diana Harrison, Chairman of Fareham Borough Council’s licensing panel said; “This free event offers licensees in the borough of Fareham a great opportunity to learn more about risk assessment as well as how to reduce the risk of violence in their premises. With guest speakers from Fareham Borough Council and Hampshire Police, licensees will be able to ask questions and gain a whole host of information which will benefit their business.”
