CATs are meetings set up at certain times throughout the year which help to ensure that we have a better understanding of the needs of Fareham residents and communities. The meetings give us a chance to hear from you and for you to hear from us. It is hoped that they will make a real difference to residents and their communities. There is also the opportunity to bid for Community Funding. Funding can only be used for capital projects.
The CATs ward map will help you to establish where your local meeting is to be held, but if you are still unsure, please contact your CATs officer on 01329 236100 or email cats@fareham.gov.uk to find out your local meeting venue. If you cannot make the date at a particular venue you are welcome to attend any other CAT meeting.

Yes - anyone who lives or works in Fareham can attend a CAT meeting. There is no need to inform us that you are attending, please just turn up. You can attend as a resident or as a member of a group or business. If you cannot make the date at a particular venue you are welcome to attend any other CAT meeting.
Any resident, or organisation based in the Borough of Fareham can apply for money from the Community Fund. Money will not be handed over to an individual; it will be given to the club/contractor or organisation. If applying for more than £5,000, you will be expected to contribute at least the same amount of money to the project from other sources
Contact your local Community Action Team Officer on 01329 236100 or email cats@fareham.gov.uk.to discuss your project. If it is agreed that you can apply for funding your CAT Officer will be able to help you to complete the application form.
You can only apply for funding to meet 'one off' capital costs. For example if you think your club house/village hall requires a new kitchen, a bid can be placed, however, if granted, the club/association would then be responsible for any upkeep and maintenance of the new kitchen.
If you would like further advice on funding and how to apply, or have any questions, please contact your local CAT Officer on 01329 236100 or email cats@fareham.gov.uk
Each meeting will be different as the agenda will be set from issues raised at the previous meeting. However, at every meeting there will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. Each meeting will be supported by the police, who will feedback on crime figures in the area and respond to any queries you may have.
Your local councillors will chair the meetings
They are listed as follows::-
Councillors, Officers from Fareham Borough Council, representatives from Hampshire Police and other Council partners presenting at the meeting.
Contact your local CATs officer on 01329 236100 or email cats@fareham.gov.uk and they can make the chairman aware of your issue and add it to the minutes.
Nearer the time there will be leaflets and posters displayed around Fareham with meeting details on them. You should also look out for your copy of Fareham Today. CATs meetings are scheduled to take place just after the arrival of each issue and the magazine will contain the dates, times and venues.
To obtain copies of minutes of meetings, agendas etc e-mail cats@fareham.gov.uk or contact your local CATs officer on 01329 236100. You can also find them on the CAT Web Pages
