Frequently Asked Questions about the Clean Neighbourhood Fund

 

What can the fund be used for?

 

  • The removal of litter, fly-tipping and/or undergrowth or scrub from abandoned land
  • Community-led environmental projects aimed at improving the cleanliness and appearance of the Borough
  • The provision of graffiti removal kits, personal protective clothing, refuse sacks, tools to assist with litter picking, hire of transport and/or equipment, collection and or disposal of waste

Who is eligible to apply for funding?

The following groups and/or individuals would be eligible to apply for funding:-

  • Community Groups (i.e. Groups of Volunteers, Scouts, Schools etc)
  • Community Tasking and Co-ordinating Group (TCG)
  • Community Action Teams
  • Residents’ Associations
  • Ward Councillors

How much can be awarded?

  • A maximum award of £500 per application and this would be restricted to one application per site per annum

How do I apply for funding?

You will need to complete an application form (19 Kb) PDF image and send it back to us.  If your project is eligible we will contact you.  No bids will be looked at or processed until 1st October 2007.
