
A small area of overgrown land at the end of Gardner Road received a make-over due to a successful application for CAT's funding. The small section of land was covered with brambles and ivy, covering up an existing street sign for Gardner Road. Local residents received £426 towards renovating the section of land including new planting as well as a 5 year licence to cultivate this area.

Fun Time Pre-school successfully applied for £500 from the Community Fund for the purchase of new fold away tables. The new tables are light weight and manoeuvrable which is safer for lifting. They are also a space saver for the school which has very limited storage space.

Whiteley Wanderers FC successfully applied for £600 for the purchase of 16 new football kits for their newly formed girls' football team. These kits will keep the girls engaged in sporting activity and will be used by teams for years to come.

As a result of a successful bid from the Sarisbury Residents' Association, four flower troughs have been installed on the barriers along Bridge Road, outside the small parade of shops. The troughs have been installed and planted by the council, but will be maintained by the residents' association during the summer months.

A successful bid was made for the replacement of two benches on the east side of Old Gosport Road in the pedestrianised area by the viaduct. The cost awarded for two stainless steel seats was £4,557 including delivery and installation.
Wallington Village Community Association was successful in its application for funding to replant the area of land on the Wallington side of the footbridge across Wallington Way. This enabled replacement of the unkempt rose bushes and plastic sheeting with 'Spanish Broom' bushes together with two Sorbus (Rowan Ash) trees. This enhances the look and the feel of the area for both residents and visitors to Wallington Village. The estimated cost of the project was £1,800. However, Wallington Village Community Association contributed £250 towards the project, so the CAT's funding was £1,550.
Due to a successful application by local residents from Maylings Farm Road, three bicycle stands costing £1,000 have been installed at Monks Hill car park near Hill head.

The Stubbington Senior Table Tennis Club, based at the Crofton Community Centre has also had an application approved and their request to purchase two table tennis tables was granted.
The Crofton Saints football club used its funding to purchase two new portable goals. The club which caters for boys and girls, ranging from 6 to 18 years old is based in the Stubbington area and competes in both Saturday and Sunday league football.
Awarded from the Neighbourhood Initiative Fund, this grant goes towards the cost of creating the trail. The project aims to transform more than a mile of rural footpath along the coastline at Fareham Creek into a surfaced, wheelchair accessible trail leading from the centre of Fareham to the coast, overlooking Portsmouth Harbour. This is in addition to an earlier sum of £5,000 awarded to the project which is due to be completed this year.
This new initiative was organised by a group of local mums, who set up a programme of free walks aimed at anyone who has or looks after young children. It provides the opportunity to walk along designated, safe pushchair friendly routes together. The funding helped pay for the cost of equipment such as, walkie-talkies, hats, fleeces and jackets, a first aid kit etc.
The Rainbow Centre is a registered charity that helps children with motor impairment to overcome their difficulties using a system of learning called Conductive Education. The £250 was used as prize money at the 'Recycle for Art Sake' competition being run as part of the Rainbow Centre's LIVE Festival fundraising event in July 2009.
Fareham Heathens RFC was awarded £5,000 towards the purchase of a set of portable floodlights. This enables training to take place in other parts of the field rather than restricting use to one area and enables training to be conducted safetly at night.
