Without your help we remain unaware of incidents of anti social behaviour (ASB). It is vital that these are reported to us in order for the Community Safety Team to be able to address such behaviour. The Community Safety Team aims to deal with reported incidents in both the short term and the long term - by addressing underlying factors which may be contributing to anti social behaviour in a particular area or by a particular person.
The 101 service was introduced across Hampshire to tackle incidents that are not deemed a matter of urgency at a 999 level. Calls that can be taken by 101 are for example: Drunk and rowdy groups, vandalism, graffiti, vehicle nuisance, harassment (this is not an exhaustive list).

You can report incidents of anti-social behaviour to the Community Safety Team on 01329 236100 (please ask to speak to the Anti-Social Behaviour Officer) or by e-mail on antisocialbehaviour@fareham.gov.uk.
Your complaint will be treated as confidential and we will not disclose your identity to the perpetrator/s unless in extreme cases where formal action is required. In such circumstances you will be guided and supported throughout the process. We will however, speak to other agencies including the Police, about the nature of your complaint in order to gather as much information about the problem as possible.
If you are a Housing Tenant (Fareham Borough Council or Housing Association) you will need to report the anti-social behaviour direct to your Area Housing Officer. In circumstances where private home owners are affected by the anti-social behaviour of the housing tenant we will work with the housing provider to help tackle the problem.
In order to take action to tackle anti-social behaviour it is important that we have a substantial amount of evidence (often referred to as substantive evidence). Therefore, when you report anti-social behaviour to the Council we ask for the following information:
An overview of the anti-social behaviour
How long the anti-social behaviour has been affecting you
How often it occurs - including days of the week and specific times
Who is involved? (Please provide us with names if you can)
Whether you have reported it to any other agency e.g. the Police
Whether you have spoken with the alleged perpetrator/s
Whether you are the only person affected by the behaviour or if it is affecting others e.g. your neighbours
It is important that you report the incidents to us on a regular basis and provide as much information as you can.
You can download a copy of our anti-social behaviour recording form (17 Kb)
which includes details on how to complete the forms. We also have information on mini moped nuisance (164 Kb)
and a Guide to Tackling Anti Social Behaviour (403 Kb)
.
The Community Safety Team will advise on the most appropriate course of action, depending on the seriousness of the anti-social behaviour. This may include a visit to your home together with your local beat officer. We may also send you some anti-social behaviour recording forms to enable to you record the incidents. In some cases we may advise you to contact the Police directly if a criminal offence has occurred such as criminal damage, or to contact the Council’s Environmental Health Section where noise issues are concerned.
Information from your reports may also be passed onto the police and partner agencies at the bi-weekly Community Task Co-ordinating Group (CTCG) Meetings, where it may be decided a Joint Agency Action Group (JAAG) in the area is needed, or that the area needs to become a priority patrol area. Please recognise that some issues cannot be dealt with immediately and may require the co -operation of a number of agencies and the community. Throughout this process the Community Safety Team will endeavour to keep you informed. For information on current projects please see our Projects and Initiatives pages on the site.
If after investigation the Council has reasonable grounds to believe that the complainant is actually provoking the situation despite our advice, we will no longer be able to assist them with their complaint.
