Sport Development

Sport Partnerships for the Borough are co-ordinated by the Partnerships and Development Officer. The aim is:-

• To identify and promote sport development initiatives and opportunities and where possible to support local sports clubs and organisations. Information on local clubs can be accessed quickly and easily through our Sports Club Directory

• To provide support for sport with the Fareham School Sports Partnership within local schools, encouraging the development of extra curricular opportunities and the development of school-club links.

• To work in partnership with external organisations to encourage greater participation in sport.

• To provide sports development opportunities working in partnership with the local Community Centres, Community Schools and Fareham Leisure Centre.

 

Football Development

• Fareham Borough Council also employs a Community Football Development Officer.

• The Officer is responsible for delivering the Fareham Borough Council Football Development Plan to provide progressive football opportunities for children, adults and disabled sportspeople and to contribute to increasing and improving football pitches and associated facilities in the Borough.
