Want something to do during the summer holidays?

Play and recreation is a vital part of every young person's development. It is important that children have the opportunity to access high quality play and leisure activities that offer variety and promote a safe and creative environment in which to learn, have fun and let off steam!

Fareham Borough Council supports a wide range of playschemes and activities across the Borough.

The majority of schemes run throughout the summer months, with several offering further opportunities during the additional school holidays of the year. Please enquire at your local scheme for additional play provision.

Alternatively, for more details about play issues or the development of out of school activities for children and young people, please contact the Childcare Development Officer at Fareham Borough Council on Tel: 01329 236100 or e-mail customerservices@fareham.gov.uk.

Fuel, Care and Welfare

Play is thirsty work! Please ensure that your child arrives prepared with supplies of food and drink for their play activities. In addition, if children are attending all day, a packed lunch may need to be provided by parents/carers.

Hopefully the summer months will be hot and sunny. Sun creams and sun hats are advisable, especially if your child is taking part in outdoor activities.

If your child is participating in sporting events, trainers and comfortable casual clothing will be needed. Please contact your scheme supervisor who will be able to answer any specific queries you may have beforehand.

Booking a Place

For all activities, booking in advance is essential. Places are normally allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please contact schemes directly to reserve a place.
