Older People

Fareham Borough Council aims to ensure that older people have access to a range of information and high quality services to enable them to live as full and independent life as possible within the community.

Fareham’s Older Persons Strategy (11,537 kb) has been developed following an extensive consultation process.  This involved a series of events held with groups of older people and with local statutory and voluntary agencies backed up by a survey of older people.  This consultation revealed that most of the older people in Fareham were overall very happy with the quality of life in Fareham, but that there were some areas for concern.
