We’re improving Portchester Park play area and would like to resident’s views. As part of the improvements we are looking to replace the Junior and Toddler multi-climbing units. All other equipment will be painted and small improvements will be made to enhance the area.
Location: Westlands Grove, Portchester, next to Portchester Community Centre. Pedestrian access from the A27 and shrubbery close.
Overall there were 281 respondents. Residents chose a wooden and metal climbing unit for the junior aged equipment and 81% of residents preferred the pirate themed climbing unit for toddlers.
Portchester Park in Westlands Grove has new toddler and junior play equipment, an inclusive swing and a roundabout. The Press Release about the installation is viewable above.
Traditional games and graphics have also been painted on the ground and equipment has been repainted and cleaned to make the play areas look as good as new.
Before work began, residents were consulted and asked to vote on what pieces of equipment they wanted in the play areas.
