We're improving Swanwick Lane play area in Sarisbury and as part of new improvements we are looking to replace the existing junior equipment. We would like residents to vote on their favourite style. The chosen designs will help us plan for a refurbishment in 2019.
Other small improvements proposed include pressure washing the area, improving the floor graphics, and repainting the court markings.
59 residents took part in this survey. The wooden style junior climbing frame was preferred over the junior unit with the track slide by 40 votes compared to 19 votes. In response to the questions referring to updating equipment, there was a 68% preference to replace the swing with a mirrored style. There was also an 86% response from residents to replace the existing roundabout with an inclusive one.
Works are expected to start later this year.
