Home owners' maintenance advice service

What is a home maintenance advice inspection?

Where requested, we carry out a visual inspection of your home to identify serious hazards and defects and help you to prioritise and plan essential repairs and get estimates for work needed. It is not a full structural survey but will identify repairs that need attention. We can provide general advice on options available to finance repairs and how to employ a reputable contractor or refer you to other organisations and agencies for specialist help and advice. We do not charge for this service.

Home improvement agency

The Fareham home improvement agency is a service provided by a registered charity, "In Touch." It offers advice on home improvements to older, vulnerable and disabled people so that they can remain in their own home in greater comfort, security and independence.  Its advice and guidance is offered free of charge but it will charge for technical help, such as initial drawings and/or specifications or arranging complete building project. These fees may be covered in any grant or loan awarded for the work and at no direct cost to you.
