Welcome to housing advice

If you have a problem with your current housing or want advice about alternative housing please contact a member of the Housing Options team.

We have changed the way we deal with requests for help with housing and no longer have any forms for customers to complete in respect of the housing waiting list.  If you have a housing problem please speak to a Housing Options Officer who will explore the solutions available to resolve that problem.  If the solution includes considering you for social housing we will complete the process for this option.

The team can provide advice on the following types of housing related issues:

  • Landlord and tenant problems
  • Tenancy agreements
  • Rent increases
  • Harrassment
  • Notices
  • Illegal eviction
  • Rent arrears
  • Mortgage arrears
  • Relationship breakdown
  • Domestic abuse
  • Homelessness
  • Finding accommodation
  • Tenancy sustainment
  • Access to social housing
  • Housing benefit
  • Money advice

The team operates a drop-in service at Fareham's Civic Offices, which means you can see an officer without having to make an appointment.  Officers are available Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.00pm.

You can also reach the team by telephone on 01329 236100 or by email housing@fareham.gov.uk

You can also use the self-assessment tool below to find out about the options that may be available to you.
